Are you using Skype, Valerie? - I think it is very good to establish these
global networks. Hope many other people of Wales will be doing the same! I had
not heard of these networks. Tell us how it is going!! Hwyl fawr, Annette |

Hello Valerie
I was just telling David Harrison about your work over in the other
thread:
DIGITAL LITERACY AND LIFELONG LEARNING
Thank you for your recent email. I'm hoping that Swansea and Gower
will turn up trumps!

Last Oct I was on BBC Wales First Click programme about
older people using the internet. You can see a clip You Tube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g330tgitYbw
They put out a call for a granny who uses the internet - I replied - will a great-granny do? I think is is amazing that these networks are setting up - I am not doing it. I suggested it in a couple of speeches & it is happening! Not surprised you have not heard of them they are a new phenomena! Will try to remember to post when new ones happen but I too am just fining my way round this site & really I am a Facebook girl! Don't have time for too many networks. More Learn with Grandma groups are coming - Excellent news - Learn with Grandma has been approved for both of the Grundtvig EU Adult learning projects we applied for. Amazing! We will be introducing Learn with Grandma into 10 European countries with 14 partners. Partners in Italy; France; Poland: Spain; Romania & Turkey are obliged to set one up - I wrote in in the bid! - & I will enccourage parters in the other project to do likewise. We can end up with a global networ of people who are interested in closing the digital devide & intergenerational learning - AT NO COST!!! Wales is coming too. The Mayor of Whitland is hosting a seminar on 21 September. If you sen me an email I will send you the agenda.
